Our Review:

Games Download Center had relatively few members compared to other game download sites we've reviewed and a fairly dated and antiquated design. Nevertheless, as a peer-to-peer games and file-sharing site it offers much the same choice in video games as many of our top ranked sites, albeit via a less user-friendly download manager, which can be downloaded from a less well-structured members' area.

Like most other sites listed on movies-games-and-music.com, Games Download Center supplies you with P2P (Peer-to-Peer) software allowing you access to around 12 billion games, MP3s, movies and TV shows from around 30 million users around the world. Most brand new games are available for all supported platforms, including PC, XBox 360, XBox, PS3, PS2, Wii, PSP and Nintendo DS. You will also be able to download game demos for games now in production, game cheats, walk-through guides, additional levels and so on.

Games Download Center includes user manuals and on-line guides to help you find and download all the games you're looking for. It also gives you access to CD ripping/burning software, DVD to CD burning software (for your downloaded games), and free desktop MP3/movie players, essentially giving you all the tools you need to find, download, play and copy your favorite games, music, movies, TV shows and more.

The pricing of Games Download Center competes well with many of the other game download sites we've reviewed, but the additional add-ons are very confusing. The first add-on for an extra $15.48 promises you free updates for the first year, but with a minimum of a one-year membership you would expect to get that anyway! The second add-on promises you a Codec Pro pack to enable you to watch movies in all formats for an unknown price! However, you can download all-in-one codec packs from the net for free (simply Google "all-in-one codec pack") so our advice would be to uncheck these two options and save yourself the extra cash.
