Our Review:

Game Media Center does for your Wii what Overload Your Console does for the PS3. Both sites give you access to almost exactly the same members' area, allowing you to download the same P2P download manager and giving you access to the same file-sharing community. In other words, the downloads available from both sites are the same. There are some slight differences: the freebie available from this site is a CD / DVD backup software, allowing you to backup your downloaded music and movies to CD and DVD; the freebie from OverloadYourConsole.com is a free HDTV for your PC. The optional extras also vary, with Game Media Center offering you game copy software for $14.95, allowing you to make copies of your downloaded games. The second optional extra of unlimited MP3 music and movie downloads available from Game Media Center is bewildering, since the supplied download manager will let you download MP3 music and movies anyway, with or without buying this optional extra.

The supplied P2P software allows you to search for your favorite games and shows you the number of users sharing each title as well as the size of each file. A larger number of users sharing the file means the file will download more quickly with fewer interruptions. A larger file size is usually indicative of a better quality and complete game file, however larger files will take longer to download. It is usually best to choose the highest quality (largest) file available with the maximum number of users (sometimes referred to as seeds) sharing the file. This will give you the best quality download in the shortest space of time. All of this will be explained in more detail within the members area of Game Media Center.
